The Charity

Donations to our event are given to The American Cancer Society and will be used to further research and development towards the elimination of cancer. Each year, the organization remembers and honors four important individuals whose lives were cut short by cancer and named the championship trophies in their behalf. The individuals are: Mr. Grant Prince, Mr. Leonard Owens Jr., Mr. D’Angelo Burnett and Mrs. Linda Rushing.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) is the nationwide community - based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

The American Cancer Society is the largest source of private, not-for-profit cancer research funds in the United States, second only to the federal government in total dollars spent.
